Shop for a Nursing Home Resident
Every December, Faithful Friends KY helps ensure that nursing home residents receive gifts chosen just for them.
Below, you’ll find a list of residents and their Christmas wishes. If you are not local but would still like to help, you can donate money and we will do the shopping!

Help us make sure the residents at Twin Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation have a very merry Christmas! Each resident has submitted a wish list of items they need and want. Please read carefully:
If you have helped us in previous years, we are making a few changes this year. (Every year we tweak things to help make things go smoothly and run more efficiently.)
- When you select a resident, you are agreeing to purchase, wrap, and deliver all the items on the list. (Please be confident that these lists have been vetted and approved so we can best meet resident needs and not waste your resources.) Make sure the resident name is on every package. If you have a card for the resident, please tape it so it doesn't get separated from the gift.
- We asked residents to choose 3 items they wanted from a list we gave them. You'll see some chose more than 3. Do not feel like you must buy more than 3 gifts, but we always include everything they said they wanted in case someone really wants to bless them.
- Please do not include candy unless it is specifically requested by the resident. Several of them have asked for snacks or candy. If they are diabetic or have other dietary concerns, that will be noted.
- We often have people ask if they can deliver the gifts to the resident. As much as we'd love that, the residents will be opening gifts at their Christmas party on Dec. 22 at 2pm. If they get gifts at random times, it's harder to manage and they may feel left out at the party if others are opening gifts but they aren't. You are invited to attend the Christmas party on the 22nd, but we know that is not convenient for many. We would still encourage you to meet your resident. When you drop off their gifts, consider asking the front desk to tell you what room he/she is in, and stop in with maybe a card or some small gift or surprise. You would be blessed and so would they!
- If you are having trouble using our new sign up system (we've previously used Sign Up Genius), please contact marla@ffky.org. Note that everyone listed below is still available. When a resident is signed up for, their name is removed and is no longer visible. When you click "sign up," you will be asked for your email and phone number so you can get reminders.
This year all gifts should be delivered to Twin Rivers (located at 2420 W. 3rd St). Please tell the front desk that they need to go to the activities director.
Gifts should be delivered to Twin Rivers by December 20, 2025. (If delivering the gifts to Twin Rivers is going to prohibit you from participating, please contact Marla and we'll work something out.)

The nursing home sometimes has "Take out Tuesdays" but residents have to pay for their food. Places like Arby's, McDonald's, Long John Silvers, Taco Bell, Burger King.
