Friendship begins with one small step.

Write ONE.

You don’t need names; simply mail it to “A Nursing Home Resident,” c/o The Activities Department, followed by the facility address. Activities Directors will give the card to a resident who’d be blessed by it. Or you can always just drop it off at the front desk. Big step—gather your family and friends and make a card for every resident!

Choose one nursing home — maybe one near your house —and send a word of encouragement and thanks. You don’t need names; just address the envelope to “Activities Director.”

Mail a card to the Director of Nursing, or the Administrator, or even the head of facility maintenance! You don’t need names, just titles. Big step—gather your family or community group and write one card for each member of the staff!

  • Pray for one local nursing home by name each day. Try setting a reminder on your phone!
  • Pray for staff endurance this week.
  • Pray Psalm 23 over residents in long-term care.

Pray for ONE.

Visit ONE.

  • Call a facility and ask about visiting.
  • Take your children to visit.
  • Big step—gather your friends or community group and go together to visit!

Friendship takes Presence.
Presence takes Consistency.
Consistency takes Support.

Maybe you can’t visit a nursing home. Maybe your season of life doesn’t allow for writing letters. You can still be a big part of this work.
